Have you ever noticed how God chooses to not
reveal certain seemingly important facts about your life? A perfect example
is when He told Israel about the Promised Land. He chose to not reveal that
giants were temporarily occupying the land of their dreams. In fact, He told
them in Numbers 13:17 “Go up and see what the land is like; whether the
people who dwell in it are strong or weak, few or many.” Does that sound to
you like God is selectively sharing or choosing temporary amnesia just for a
day?
The truth is, God doesn’t care about giants or any other extraneous
circumstance. He thinks He is still in control and the promise is still
valid, even though the land is full of giants. He sees the promise already
belonging to you. So focus on the final outcome He has firmly decreed, not
the giants standing in your way. When you do, you’ll be choosing to see it
like God sees it and you’ll learn to live only by what He remembers.
"God has given us both His promise
and His oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for
God to lie." - Hebrews 6:18 NLT
