“To the infinite all things are finite…”
Mark Batterson
On Saturday,
June 7th, in Elmont, New York, Da’ Tari defied the odds. For most of us, it
was an unwelcomed victory. Millions of Americans were severely disappointed
as we had counted on Big Brown, the champion of horses, winning the Belmont
Stakes. The odds were 38-1 against Da’ Tari winning the race. Howbeit, he
defied the odds and amusingly enough made a small percentage of people
happy, the people that had placed their bets with Da’ Tari, against all
odds.
When we are
facing challenges we often rank them in order. The odds are often stacked in
our mind against a “certain thing” coming to pass. How often have we
said, "what are the odds of that happening”? The truth is this: God
makes it His business to daily defy the odds. God is infinite, which means
He has no boundaries or limitations. There is not an impossible category
versus a possible category. His category is compiled like this: those who
willingly allow Him to work and those who believe in His ways above their
own. Like Da’ Tari, He surprises the world with unexpected wins for His
people. Guess what? That means you, my friend! Be encouraged. Be
strengthened in your faith today. Against all odds, our Father, our Champion
will prevail!
"He is able to accomplish
infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or even hope."
Ephesians 3:20 NLT |
