When it comes to the Kingdom of God, envy is exposed at its root. Envy in my
life means: disliking God’s goodness to you and dismissing God’s goodness
to me. Envy is rooted in selfishness and fear. Selfishness leads me into
the narrow valley of self-obsession, where everything in my life or heart is
judged by my perceived wants and needs. Fear plays its part by igniting envy
with this daunting question, "Has God forgotten you?”
So, why all the bad news about envy? Because it robs you of your perception
of God’s complete consciousness of you. Envy challenges the soul with the
dark questions of “why?” Why has God not accomplished what I
desire…Why not now…Why not here? So, what is the solution? Are you ready for
the revelation, something you've never heard before? A magic formula
demonstrated by a divine infomercial?
Don't be disappointed, but the answer is familiar. The answer has been
demonstrated by generations of the faithful, those who lived and died
believing; Believing in an infinite God who loves each one of us equally;
Believing in a Sovereign God who works for eternity, not for the moment;
Believing in a God who seriously cares about the welfare of all of His
children - A God who does not have the capacity to forget us. Let it sink
into your soul. Speak this truth to someone sinking in the mental quicksand
of "I am forgotten". Remember, He can’t forget you. It is not
possible for Him. There are some things He can not do….
“Remember these things...I formed you, you are my servant,
and you shall not be forgotten by me.” Isaiah 44:21 Amp
