God, if I ever sound ungrateful (and I know I do), would You please put my ingratitude in the stupidity file? This push-and-shove world can easily knock my perspective off center.

But right now, I’m seeing more clearly. I’m seeing my Warrior go to battle for me. I’m seeing Him take the ultimate hit. I’m seeing Christ, my Sanctuary, ascending Golgotha and kicking the tar out of Devastation. I’m seeing my self-condemnation race off into the sunset on the speeding stallion called forgiveness. I’m seeing the cords of sin unraveling at my feet. I’m feeling the sensation of gradually standing erect.

And I’m seeing the essence of life is as simple as finding the clearing and bowing before my Savior.
And so, perspective intact for the moment, I am at rest.
I feel accepted, just as I am.
And I am … profoundly grateful.
