What comes to your mind when you hear the name, Ore Ida? Frozen French Fries, right? Donald McCollough documents in his book, "Say Please, Say Thank You", that this company is also known for their innovative, creative ideas. But what do they do when one of those ides bombs? Do they blame or fire somebody? No, they throw a party! Literally. A cannon is fired and everybody stops work to commemorate the perfect failure. For one hour, they celebrate the failure. For one hour, they talk about the failure, laugh about the failure, and rejoice over all the things they learned from the failure. They "celebrate their freedom to go on".

When was the last time you attended a testimony service in which only failures were celebrated? Could we handle it? If we were as transparent, open, and loving as Scripture exhorts us to be, we could. For sometimes the best and healthiest course is to call failure, failure. Winston Churchill said, "Success is moving from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm". So, we must realize that the royal flops in our life lead us to royal lessons. Lessons that will guard us from ever revisiting the same failures again. You know what you might need to do? Throw yourself an Ore Ida party. Acknowledge the failure, celebrate the failure, release the failure with joy. The next step is the hard one. You have to determine to never mention the failure again. Can I suggest one more thing? In your life, your circle of influence, who needs you to throw them a Party? Blow the cannon for somebody today, celebrate their failure and acknowledge their freedom to go on!

"I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead."
Philippians 3:13 NLT
