"For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it."
- Luke 9:24
Absolute surrender. God’s Word paints unforgettable pictures of great men and women yielding to the call of God on their lives. Abraham, Moses, David, Esther and Paul are just a handful of those that encountered “surrender experiences”. Surrender does not always mean, “I understand”. Surrender does not mean, “I can clearly see the plan”. But surrender does mean, “Into His hands, I commit again, all that I am”.
Obviously, the work of your hands is not the object of God’s desire. Nor is the goal of His heart the path your feet will walk upon. It is the center of your heart, will and mind that He desires sole custody of.
What surrender experience could your heart be facing right now? Simply surrender fully, purely, and humbly present yourself without protection or pretense and with genuine trust, say... “I'm Yours, Lord.”
That is absolute surrender!
